COT Campus Connect


Are you ready to connect the skills you are learning in school to the meaningful work you will perform as an accounting professional? The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office has created the COT Campus Connect program to provide that opportunity. 

These one-day events will give you a peek into the day-to-day challenges and responsibilities of auditors who spend each day working with Tennessee’s state and local governmental entities and delivering on the Comptroller’s Office mission to make government work better.

Benefits of the Program

You will learn from experienced auditors about the skills and thought processes needed to conduct:

  • Financial and compliance audits
  • Performance audits
  • Information systems audits
  • State agency audits
  • TennCare/Medicaid program audits
  • Local government audits

You will also hear from Comptroller’s Office auditors who jumpstarted their careers in our office by completing the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury’s Summer Audit Internship Program as students. Most importantly, you will leave with a better understanding of the career opportunities that are available to you in the Tennessee Comptroller’s Office.

Eligibility Requirements

The COT Campus Connect program is open to students who meet all of the following requirements:

  • Accounting Majors
  • Completed 60 credit hours
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
