Lauren Webb

Lauren Webb is the Legislative Director for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury. Lauren works with each of the Office’s 12 divisions and advises the Comptroller and other Office leaders on policy and legislative matters. Lauren helps the Comptroller develop the Office’s legislative package, and leads the Comptroller’s Legislative Team in informing the Tennessee General Assembly on any policy issues related to the Office.

Before joining the Comptroller’s Office in 2015, Lauren worked closely with the General Assembly as a legislative liaison for the Tennessee Department of Finance and Administration and on former Governor Bill Haslam's Legislative Team.

Lauren holds an Associate’s degree from Pellissippi State Technical and Community College, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Lauren is a licensed attorney in the State of Tennessee and received her Juris Doctor from the Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale, Illinois.

She serves as a member of the Tennessee Archaeological Advisory Council and on the Policy Committee for the Adoption Project.

Lauren and her husband, John, have two children and three dogs. In her spare time, she loves baking and exercising.
