Caroline Grasse
Division of Administration
Caroline Grasse is the Legislative Director for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury. Caroline works with each of the Office’s 12 divisions and advises the Comptroller on policy and legislative matters. Caroline helps the Comptroller develop the Office’s legislative package, and she leads the Comptroller’s Legislative Team in informing the Tennessee General Assembly on any policy issues related to the Office.
Before joining the Comptroller’s Office in 2024, Caroline worked with the General Assembly’s Office of Legal Services where she served as the attorney for the health and insurance committees. She has also worked for the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, and she practiced law at an insurance defense litigation firm in Nashville.
Caroline studied economics and public administration while earning her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Tennessee and received her Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
Caroline and her husband, Joe, live in Nashville with their dog, Tiki. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, crafting, and cheering on her beloved Volunteers.
