Division Operations Manager
Division of Investigations

Megan Chalk, CFE, CAP serves as the Division Operations Manager for the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury’s Division of Investigations. In this role, she oversees and supports the division’s daily operations, including training, legislative matters, administrative functions, personnel matters, the Fraud, Waste and Abuse Hotline, and investigative reports. She also serves as a liaison with other divisions and represents the Division of Investigations at events and other functions.

Before joining the Comptroller’s Office in 2018, Megan worked for the Davidson County District Attorney General’s Office as a Victim Witness Coordinator. In this role, she assisted victims and witnesses through the judicial process while gaining valuable experience with criminal cases and their impact on individuals and communities.

Megan earned her bachelor’s degree from Ohio University. She is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a member of both the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and its Middle Tennessee Chapter, where she serves on the Conference Committee. She is also a Certified Administrative Professional and a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals.

Megan is known for her ability to manage logistics, execute projects, and see complex tasks through to completion. She and her husband have a daughter, and they enjoy spending time together outdoors, traveling, and visiting family.
