The Tennessee General Assembly and the State of Tennessee are providing financial assistance to owners of taxable property whose property was destroyed or damaged by the 2024 Hurricane Helene disaster.
Affected property owners may be eligible for financial relief equal to the total amount of the tax levied on affected property for tax year 2024 plus thirty percent (30%).
Only properties identified by your county's assessor of property by January 28, 2025 are eligible for relief. Eligible property owners must complete an application process by June 30, 2025 to receive financial assistance.
