Treatment for Substance Use Disorder in Tennessee

The Tennessee Comptroller’s Office of Research and Accountability (OREA) was asked to survey Tennessee’s substance abuse treatment landscape. In response to this request, OREA produced a legislative brief that explores state, federal, and private studies and publications on the topic. While OREA has not conducted an extensive evaluation of substance abuse disorder treatment program outcomes to date, this brief provides relevant information on Tennessee’s substance abuse disorder treatment services, infrastructure, and funding.
